To help fuel that growth, we need an Engineering Manager to join our Price Engineering team

This team is the beating heart of Prima.

You’ll be joining over 350 engineers across software development, infrastructure, operations, and security. Fueled by curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration, you’ll help deliver scalable, impactful solutions that shape the future of insurance.

What you’ll do

Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Define and drive the technical roadmap
• Ensure alignment between engineering initiatives and business priorities
• Lead a team of 3 to 6 engineers

Architecture & Engineering Excellence

• Take ownership of architectural decisions
• Oversee implementation with a focus on:
  • maintainability
  • reliability
  • scalability
  • security

Delivery & Execution

• Support the development team in delivering high-impact initiatives on time
• Help transform business goals into effective technical solutions

Team Growth & Culture

• Foster a culture of:

What we’re looking for

Technical Background

• Strong technical foundation with 5+ years of hands-on development experience
• Python knowledge preferred

Leadership Experience

• 2+ years managing engineering teams
• Experience overseeing:
  • development processes
  • technical decisions
  • engineering execution

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Hands-on experience with:
  • cloud services
  • infrastructure platforms
• AWS and Databricks experience preferred

Team Processes & Mentorship

• Ability to shape and adapt team processes based on evolving needs
• Proven mentoring experience:
  • technical guidance
  • critical thinking
  • decision-making support

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working with:
  • non-technical stakeholders
  • external business partners

Product & Delivery Ownership

• Proven ability to lead initiatives from inception to delivery
• Experience translating:
  • business requirements
  • into actionable technical solutions

Education

• Master’s degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • or a related field

Nice-to-Have

Software Architecture

• Experience with:
  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • event-driven architectures

Distributed Systems

• Experience designing and implementing microservices within large-scale ecosystems
